A little bit about us...

Our Story

Two artistic souls destined to meet...

Steve & Marilyn have always been near each other, running in the same circles from the time they were kids. They were at the same places every weekend. They were in and out of each other's lives for years, dating in 1989 and finally marrying in 1999.

There have been many adventures during that time. They have raised kids together, they have been in bands together and they have traveled the world together. They have owned boats and motorcycles together and owned businesses together...

After living in Colorado and Arizona, they decided to make the Oregon Coast their permanent home.

"Our plan was to come to the coast, focus on our art and slow down a bit. What happened was more than we imagined. Fulltime art careers and working harder than ever. Life is Art... it truly is for us, and we are so happy sharing it with you all."

Steve Wright

Steve, a lifelong musician, worked as a pipefitter, plumber and welder by day, while playing music at night. Building upon his work skills and love of music, he began creating one of a kind guitar stands and drum racks. He then turned his focus to creating sculptures fabricated from repurposed materials such as metal, old tools, wood, and used plastic.  Recycling and repurposing materials have always been part of Steve's craft.

2018-2026

Steve is the lead artist for Washed Ashore, an educational non-profit in North Bend OR, that builds and exhibits sculptures made from marine debris. He apprenticed under and worked with the former Artistic Director, and Founder of Washed Ashore, Angela Pozzi from 2018 until her departure in 2021 when he became the Lead Artist. He continues to build sculptures for Washed Ashore while creating his own metal art in his spare time.

Steve's collective works have been viewed by millions of people at art galleries on the coast, the Coos Art Museum, malls, zoos, aquariums and botanical gardens across the US and Canada.

Marilyn is a musician, has produced live shows at theaters and nightclubs and continues to work with others to bring original rock music to the Coos Bay and North Bend area.

2019-2026
